Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant or technician to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient interactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient pharmacy operation. Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings is highly valued, along with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment while contributing to patient well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
  • Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
  • Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
  • Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information
  • Support medication administration processes as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and pharmacy protocols
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation updates
  • Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and compliant with health standards

Experience

  • Previous hospital or community pharmacy experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Experience in patient care settings is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff
