Overview of the role:

Reporting directly to the Director, Warehousing Products Strategy, the Product Owner, Sorting solutions will be responsible for developing the company's technology platforms used in stations to receive, sort and transit packages.

In this role, you will be expected to collaborate effectively with stakeholders outside of IT (mostly from Operations), guide complex technology projects, and manage & develop cross-disciplinary agile teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate inefficiencies in our systems/processes and suggest improvement opportunities;
Participate in material handling equipment supplier selection and integration by providing technical and integration requirements
Capture, document and prioritize product requirements with stakeholders;
Collaborate with the development team to define feasible, resilient and scalable features
Manage, maintain and prioritize a healthy backlog of products and features;
Implement monitoring and testing strategies for the endtoend sorting experience;
Perform product demos and drive user acceptance testing processes;
Act as a leader within crossdisciplinary scrum teams (product management, software development, operations, infrastructure, etc.) to ensure we're building the best products;

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent practical experience;
3+ years product management and passion to solve user problems;
Certified as Product owner, Scrum Master or PMP (an asset);
Exceptional organizational, analytical and problemsolving skills;
Strong understanding of modern development practices and planning processes;
Strong documentation skills and backlog grooming skills
Strong taste for innovative projects and a will to learn new technologies / test out new ideas
Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities;
Ability to drive the team to success and create bonds with developers, QA, etc.
Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automated sorting technologies
Experience in the Logistics Sector
Experience with key product management and agile development principles;
Experience delivering complex technology products which require attention to detail;
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and common development paradigms (git, APIs, etc.)
Being bilingual is an asset (Fr/ Eng)
