Health and Safety Technical Trainer
Reporting to the National Training Manager, Canada, the Health & Safety Technical Trainer will be responsible for ensuring that Witron Canada and Witron Service personnel are complying with all local, provincial, and federal regulations as well as with WITRON's vision for Health and Safety.

- Ensures compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations and standards involving safety, industrial hygiene and general workplace and fire safety.
- Demonstrate leadership in health and safety on all Canadian projects and construction sites.
- Actively promote a healthy workplace that is free from workplace violence and harassment.
- Ensure the site fulfils their legal and company standard obligations for machine integrity and safety.
- Perform Onsite training related to technical health and safety on machines and/or equipment.
- Work with different teams and departments on finding solutions regarding safety matters.
- Conduct site audits and develop reports on Health & Safety performance and tactical and strategic improvement planning.
- Work directly with facility and construction site managers to implement and maintain health and safety procedures with respect to installation of the automation equipment and racking.
- Monitor, review and report monthly health and safety performance indicators/measures.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company.
Qualifications:
Skills and Knowledge
- Canadian Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, with specific knowledge of Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia norms
- Advanced knowledge in electrical safety and machine safety including light curtains, sensors, devices, and guards
(A must):
- At least 2to3year experience of Health and Safety work experience
- Some exposure in federal, provincial, and municipal H&S requirements and industry standards/best practices (i.e., acts, regulations, codes, standards, and case law)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of the Witron organization
- Ability to drive a strong safety philosophy and implement programs designed to effectively change behavior and prevent injury.
- Ability to learn and independently resolve a variety of difficult situations and problems using timely decision making.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to various locations for training and exposure to Witron's international sites.
- Valid driver's license and valid Canadian passport with ability to travel internationally.
- Bilingual FR/ENG
(A must)
Education and Experience
- Current standing as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or the ability of attaining the designation within the first year of hire.
- Health and Safety Certification
- National Construction Safety Officer Certification, NCSO (An asset)
Formateur Technique en Santé et Sécurité
Sous la supervision du Directeur National de la Formation, le Formateur Technique en Santé et Sécurité sera responsable de veiller à ce que le personnel de Witron Canada et du Service Witron se conforme à toutes les réglementations locales, provinciales et fédérales, ainsi qu'à la vision de WITRON en matière de Santé et Sécurité.
Il/elle sera également chargé(e) de soutenir et de former les ressources locales à travers le Canada aux normes techniques axées sur la sécurité.
