Pole Line QC Specialist

Position Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree (preferred)
  • Must have experience in the Telecommunications Outside plant engineering and/or construction industry.
  • Experience with Aerial Communications line & poles inspections or design. Using CSA 22.3 No. 120 Overhead Systems. and O.Reg. 22/04 guidelines.
  • Should have good understanding of basic computer concepts and technology.

Experience with the following design programs:
Quick Pole and SpidaCalc is strongly preferred.

  • Should have strong understanding of Design and construction of Fiber Optic Cable (UG, Aerial, Buried, BICS) and manhole and conduit design (strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of Fiber backbone (F1) and distribution networks (F2), 5G/Smart City high level designs is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) are also highly desired.
  • Must be able to work and walk for the majority of the work day, in various terrains and weather conditions.
