Description

Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for producing drawings for the installation of audio visual systems such as wiring diagrams (one-line), location drawings, installation details and other types of drawings using various programs, specifically AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:

Produce plans and documents required by various stakeholders
Produce drawings required for the installation following FAV standards
Produce single line drawings including cable numbering, equipment cabinet elevations, patch details, custom parts, positioning of elements in a space, mainly in 2D and occasionally in 3D
Prepare design drawings, specifications and production guidelines for custom equipment
Produce drawings in accordance with the requirements of the department, the construction industry and the audiovisual industry
Format required project documents such as data sheets, manuals and project completion documents
Carry out administrative management of design projects
Provide suggestions on best ways to carry out projects
Perform all other related tasks according to operational needs

Requirements:

College degree in electronics, audiovisual, industrial design, or other relevant training and experience
Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in drafting combined with experience in audiovisual
Mastery of Autocad software
Knowledge of Sketchup and Revit software, an asset
Ability to read plans
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Good knowledge of electronics (audiovisual), an asset
Ability to work with deadlines and manage pressure
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
