Description

The RPA Support Specialist is a key contributor to the provision of technical systems support within the Continuous Improvement (CI) department.

The RPA Support Specialist is responsible for trouble-shooting systems challenges experienced by Bison staff, fulfilling requests for data outputs in various forms, and configuring data interchange requirements between Bison and its partners.

This includes gaining an understanding of current processes and systems and identifying potential solutions and communicating with business analysts and software developers.

As a member of Bison's overall Systems group, the RPA Support Specialist is committed to accelerate and deliver a digital transformational journey built on deep customer knowledge and empathy, guiding customers through elements of the digital transformation journey - strategic, technical, and cultural.


  • Specific responsibilities include:
  • Creating and managing Bots, monitoring automated processes, and delivering and supporting the solutions for automating existing or new processes using RPA tools.
  • Coordination of manual processing of exceptions.
  • Manage strategic engagements in intelligent automation, process, and service design, delivering unique perspectives and constructive disruptions that inspire clients to drive the future story of their business.
  • Communicate breakdowns and downtime to the concerned stakeholders in a timely manner and ensure that the various SLAs are met.
  • Ensure robot operations documentation is kept up to date and include all changes.
  • Optimization of the Robots through realigning of the schedule runs & Multi Bots processing.
  • Ensure we meet the SLA'S from the business for the processes the RPA team has automated.
  • Creation of data inputs, requests to support program changes and business improvement.
  • Support alignment with other datarelated roles (Customer Service, Customs, Accounting, Sales, Internal Audit).
  • Postsecondary education with a focus on: Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Experience with database programming language (SQL, Python or others).
  • Experience designing, building, and testing automation processes (robot automation programs).
  • Ability and knowledge on API, HTML, and other connection services to develop and integrate systems.
  • Technical and nontechnical (user) troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures and best practice to support an environment of continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work well in a team environment and crossfunctional teams toward shared goals.
  • Reliable and highly motivated selfstarter with the ability to work independently or as a part of a collaborative team.
  • You are known as a problem solver who uses technical knowhow to see the solution through the business problem.
  • Skills considered to be an asset:
  • Experience with RPA technologies (Kofax, Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere),
  • Experience with Project Manager or change Management methodologies.
  • Please note this is a Hybrid position.
