    About the role
    Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Marketing Manager, Strategy Planning, and Integratio n to join our dynamic Strategy Planning and Integration team in our Public Affairs division .

    The Strategy Planning and Integration team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by creating multi-product integrated recruitment campaigns.

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing CBS's integrated multi-product marketing strategies and plans to support our national objectives and developing, implementing, and evaluating national marketing campaigns and programs that are data-driven and target specific market segments in order to increase participation in Canada's Lifeline. Further, you will be responsible for building, managing, and developing a high performing team of marketing professionals.

  • Leveraging your knowledge and expertise, you will define, socialize, and lead marketing strategies and plans that align with and support our corporate strategy and product-specific objectives.
  • Drawing on your creativity and organizational skills, you will manage the development, production, implementation, and evaluation of national marketing programs and campaigns to targeted market segments. You will develop campaign guidelines and provide advice and guidance to field staff on the implementation and use of donor / registrant acquisition, retention, and recognition programs.
  • Utilizing your strong attention to detail and prioritization skills, you will develop and manage annual budgets by developing annual financial plans and regularly forecasting throughout the fiscal year as well as understanding return on investment.
  • Concentrating on your demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, you will leverage data and insights to drive targeted marketing strategies for all marketing campaigns, programs, and activities. You will develop a contact strategy that optimizes the timing, frequency and sequencing of marketing and communication activity at key moments in the donor's lifecycle to maximize return of investment.
  • Using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will manage projects and develop strong collaborative relationships with integrated teams and other external partners.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating regular reviews of marketing programs / campaigns and establishing a monitoring system to obtain feedback to determine where changes/revisions may be required. As necessary, prepare recommendations for revisions to programs based on these reviews and feedback.
  • Focusing on your continuous improvement and growth mindset, you will seek ways to continuously improve performance as well as meet and surpass goals. Seeks ways to do things faster, better, and at lower cost, while creating a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Possessing an ability to lead and work collaboratively across a diverse team, you will provide the resources, tools, autonomy and support necessary for employees to deliver the desired results to achieve objectives and priorities. Ensure employees receive feedback on their performance on a regular basis and provide development opportunities.
  • You will perform other related duties as required.
  • Desired education and skills

  • Completion of a university degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing, market segmentation, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in integrated marketing across the full donor / customer lifecycle (e.g., awareness, consideration, acquisition, retention).
  • Experience developing marketing and product plans.
  • Experience meeting the needs of culturally diverse prospects.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • What you can expect

    • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
