The Position

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document daily inspections of lift trucks
Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
Safely operate a lift truck to:
Ensure lines have sufficient components, stampings, and containers
Arrange the storage/transportation of stampings to and from assembly lines in organized manner
Ensure finished goods are verified by inspectors and approved before strapping and or putting into storage
Organize and return bins/ containers
Scan paperwork and move stampings and components to and from assembly lines
Use scanners to ensure lot traceability of components and stampings
Maintain a clean and tidy/organized work area
Adopt Kaizen principles and concepts and participate in GEAR activities
Maintain contact with supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
Follow all regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable standards
Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating a counter-balance lift truck

Two years of experience is preferred
Good handeye coordination
Attention to detail
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience with bar code scanning and printing labels
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Physical requirements include:
Sitting and driving for longs periods of time
Frequently climbing up and down steps of the lift truck
Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
