THE ROLE:


We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Network Analyst to join our growing Digital & Technology Services (DTS) team.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Information Security & Network, you will help with the design and implementation of enterprise solutions focused in the areas of network architecture across the organization.

You will also help to define the network architectural standard and practices that support it, while supporting and maintaining the operational components within the PETRONAS Canada network.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Establish strategic direction and daytoday operation of PETRONAS Canada's network technologies including routed/switched networks, wireless networks, network perimeter security components, and a variety of other network technologies within the enterprise
  • Responsible for strategic planning, design, optimization, and operational management of the PETRONAS Canada local and widearea network environments
  • Configure and manage network services in Azure
  • Work collaboratively in a crossfunctional environment with DTS Architecture and Operations teams and Business Control Systems teams to identify network performance, reliability or security risks and develop plans to mitigate and resolve them
  • Mentor junior DTS employees in the tracking, analysis, and resolution of core network, widearea network and perimeter security issues
  • Provide support and consultation services to the IS Business Solutions and Information Management teams in identifying appropriate business system network interaction and security best practices
  • Operational accountabilities such as automating network device backups where appropriate; managing network event monitoring and alert systems and responding to same; managing hardware and software device lifecycle in the network environment and reacting appropriately to identified system vulnerabilities

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Completion of a postsecondary degree in Information Technology with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Certification in security/networking, such as GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CCNP, CCNA preferred
  • Passion for information security, data security and networking
  • A clear understanding of, and experience managing, network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi
  • Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Cisco routing and switching and Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
  • Experience developing and maintaining trusted relationships, and facilitating effective communications and collaboration between vendors, technical teams, partners, and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours in support of operational changes and issues
  • Highly developed problemsolving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability, ensuring effectiveness in a highly dynamic environment with multiple concurrent tasks
