Your Opportunity


The Advisory and Assurance Manager will serve as an integral member of the A&A Practice Area, reporting to the Partners.

The individual will play an important leadership role, responsible for delivering exceptional client service to a diverse group of clients and for leading, guiding, mentoring and coaching our great team members.


Your Scope:


  • Responsible for the overall planning, reviewing and completion of work engagements within a variety of business sectors either individually or in a team environment
  • Thinks in terms of engagement and financial statement risks and objectives in order to identify the engagement approach and appropriate engagement procedures
  • Performs engagement planning and completes related documents, i.e. establishes the key audit objectives during planning of the engagement, and identifying the significant accounts, the significant risks and the significant fraud risks
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of personal and corporate tax planning, preparation, and compliance
  • Identifies and schedules adequate resources with the required skills, knowledge and experience to perform the work
  • Demonstrates an indepth understanding of business cycles and operational internal controls
  • Monitors the engagement team's progress against the plan and alters it when needed, demonstrating good project management skills
  • Reviews the work of engagement team members
  • Implements solutions to complex issues with little or no oversight
  • Prepares the first drafts of the management letter and other communications with management and those charged with governance

Your Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree/certificate in business or management
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • One to three years of postdesignation experience of auditing and accounting experience, serving a variety of clients (e.g. manufacturing, public companies, municipalities, NPO's, ownermanaged firms)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong client service focus
  • Strong technical, organizational, planning, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Ability to work to and meet multiple deadlines in what can often be pressure situations
  • Strong people management focus while coaching and developing others
