We're looking for someone to join our team as a Maintenance worker at our hotel in the Mississauga:

Things you would be required to do:

Clean and tidy the grounds of the hotel to maintain curb appeal.
Dispose of garbage in accordance with hotel policy.
Carry out winter maintenance duties
Carry out assigned duties as part of the Preventive Maintenance Schedule achieving brand standards and hotel policies and procedures.
Carry out maintenance duties allocated on a daily basis in accordance with departmental requirements contributing to the smooth running of departments and achieving guest satisfaction.
Assist with the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, etc. on a routine basis in accordance with motel policy.
To liaise closely with the other members of the Management team regarding completion of work to minimize on "down" rooms, contributing to the overall profitability of the hotel.
Provide guidance and prepare work schedule for maintenance assistant.
To adhere to all matters relating to hygiene, health & safety in accordance with provincial laws and company policy.
To be aware of the action taken in the event of an emergency (such as fire and bomb threat) in accordance with procedures laid down by company and motel policy.
To be committed to providing exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations; utilizing safe and financially sound solutions.
To work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with colleagues assisting where necessary to develop team spirit and to achieve standards of work and guest care as required by company policy.
To achieve guest satisfaction by responding to and anticipating guests' needs ensuring all comments and complaints are acted upon in accordance with hotel and company policy.
Occasionally driving will be required to transport or imports goods or occasionally driving the shuttle to pickup or drop of guests to the airport.
To assist with team member orientation and training within the department hygiene as required by hotel and company policy.
To be aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and proper usage of storage of all materials/equipment as per departmental standards and manufacturer's instructions.
To attend meetings as requested and to recognize the importance of contributing new ideas and initiatives to the overall success of the operation.
To assist with cleaning duties in order to maintain a clean and wellordered work area in line with hotel policy.
To be aware of and adhere to the procedures as written in the Hotel Crisis Communication Plan to ensure that any inquiries from the media are only responded to by the appointed spokesperson in line with company policy.
