Position Information:


The Digital Education Team Manager is integral to advancing TOH¿s key pillar of education innovation through commitment to quality care, academic research-educational excellence, technical systems advancement-integration, and optimal end user experience.

This role provides operational, strategic management, and overall coordination of Interprofessional education-competency building with TOH electronic health record (Epic).


The position is responsible for delivery of EPIC education via transformational change management, process analysis-design, stakeholder engagement-collaboration and other best practice project delivery mechanisms.

The manager directs and ensures the successful planning, deployment, implementation, training, and maintenance of the Epic training environment, also serving as a clinical informatics, technology, and education liaison.

The manager utilizes their knowledge of education, clinical, administrative, and financial systems in daily practice and collaborates with Clinical-IT-Education-Professional Practice Leadership and its staff members to meet specific clinical informatics educational needs of TOH and contractual obligations with its ATLAS partners.


This role leads the planning-implementation-evaluation of a strategic framework that improves the quality, targeted dissemination, and innovative accessibility of Epic related education programs and materials.


Reporting to the Director, Education and Professional Practice, the Digital Education Team (DET) Manager will be a key leader in delivery of Clinical and IS led Epic educational strategic plans and projects as approved through the ATLAS governance structure.

This person will act as a project lead, potential resource, and liaison between various departments.

The incumbent is also responsible for overall stakeholder engagement, workplan development/project management, and ensuring that milestones, objectives, and timelines are met.

The manager will promote quality educational experiences for all learners and will serve as the lead on organizational approaches to improving learner experience related to Epic learning.


Temporary position until approximately November 30, 2025.

Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.


Salary Information:


Please note that this salary is under review, and in the interim the salary range above include a Temporary Market Premium.


Basic Requirements:


  • 4year Undergraduate Degree in Health Administration, Education, Nursing or Health Informatics, or equivalent;
  • 3years strong knowledge and experience with clinical informatics systems;
  • 3years knowledge of Project Management methodology;
  • 5years clinical experience demonstrating progressive leadership;
  • 5years knowledge of the health care environment;
  • 5years deep knowledge of change management, adult education principles and/or other learning theory;
  • 3years knowledge of quality improvement tools and methods;
  • Ability to research IS process and solution issues as required;
  • Analytical thinking and problemsolving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability with Clinical Information Systems education performance measurement/assessment and evaluation;
  • Excellent understanding of the organization¿s goals and objectives;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and userfriendly language;
  • Ability to anticipate and creatively respond to changing priorities and unforeseen opportunities;
  • Facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills;
  • Sound judgment and initiative;
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills;
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including the ability to lead and facilitate change;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to assess and guide teams on process flaws and redesign opportunities;
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment;
  • Strong project management skills and/or substantial exposure to projectbased work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
