Community Worker

This role involves collaborating with community groups to identify needs and implement action plans. As a resource person, you will provide support and guidance to these groups.

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A diploma of college studies in social work techniques or social service techniques or another appropriate specialization from a recognized institution.


• Alternatively, relevant experience combined with a certificate of college studies in social work techniques or social service techniques is also acceptable.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and awareness of mental health issues and social issues within the Cree territory.
PThe ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals is crucial for success in this role.

Other key requirements include initiative, dynamism, responsibility, proper knowledge of the community's social environment,
pknowledgeable about Cree culture
and able to establish helping relationships with beneficiaries. The selected candidate will also demonstrate excellent clinical judgement,must have demonstrated counselling skills,
appears confident working during crisis situations,persuaded by drug/alcohol addiction initiatives,
