Part Time Respite Worker
I am a home share provider seeking a respite worker for evenings and weekends for a 34 year old male participant with intellectual disabilities.
Transportation is necessary and can provide mileage compensation.
Responsibilities include:
- Aiding with meal planning and cooking meals
- Seeking activities and volunteer opportunities to do with the participant
- Transporting to leisure activities
- Aide with budgeting and saving money
- Aide with overall life skills and support within the community
- Provide shift reports and updates on participants' progress
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last 3 months
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Class 5 Driver's license
- 5,000,000 third party liability auto insurance
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (preferred)
