Position title:
Parking Enforcement Officer

A parking enforcement officer is responsible for monitoring parking facilities, issuing warning tickets/citations, and responding to customer inquiries.


Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas by foot or car to observe automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles.
  • Issue tickets or citations for expired meters, improper parking such as: in crosswalks or other sidewalks, and related violations
  • Record and enter data collected for citations/violations including time, date, location of infraction and vehicle information.
  • Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to management.

Qualifications:


  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Accredited by Ottawa Bylaw.
  • One of two years of experience in parking related field is preferred.
  • Proficient with computers and computerized ticket system.
  • Must be willing to work overnight and weekends.
  • Varied rotating schedule.
