Description

• For the security, health & safety of the HomeCare residents
• For documentation and communication as required.
• To use safe work procedures and comply with rules and operational guidelines.
• To function as a member of the HomeCare & Lodge team, working with Managers, staff and residents to provide a pleasant well oriented wellness environment.
• To assist in special events and activities
• Work with Home Care (AHS) on the completion of care plans.
• For other tasks as assigned.

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course
• Registered as "Active" in the AHS-HCA Directory
• Completion of all Compulsory Competencies in the AHS-HCA Directory
• Completion of the Medication Assistance Program training & practicum course
• Minimum 3 years' continual experience in an HCA role
• Current Emergency First Aid Certificate is mandatory
• Food Safe Handling certificate
• Related experience working with Seniors is a must.
• Mandatory criminal record check
• Positive rapport with seniors, e.g. friendly and helpful, while promoting independence
• Good health and no history of back problems a medical may be required.
• A high standard of hygiene and personal appearance
• A flexible, willing, and positive attitude that promotes team building.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and trustworthy.
