    This opportunity is a fixed term contract beginning end of May 2024 to July 2025. The position can be based out of: Burlington or Waterloo.

    Responsibilities

  • Administer human capital activities including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management
  • Conduct role evaluations, post job requisitions, contribute to recruitment plans and pro-actively manage the candidate experience to attract top talent
  • Network on behalf of MNP, acting as an ambassador for the organization
  • Consult and mentor leaders through the talent acquisition process and on issues related to legal, procedural, compliance, employee relations, problem resolution, total rewards and performance management
  • Lead consistency of performance targets, relevance of targets, process for promotions, transfers, job classifications, annual compensation cycle and performance evaluations
  • Participate in and conduct annual salary submissions, including job matching and related data
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal business; facilitate workgroups, training sessions and meetings
  • Manage terminations as appropriate, conduct exit and stay interviews and participate in dispute resolution meetings
  • Serve as a link between leadership and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations and educating on self-service options
  • Analyze statistical reports to identify and determine trends; identify and address issues that impact morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity
  • Oversee the facilitation of regional learning and development administration and programs
  • Communicate disability management matters with benefits team members, provide support to payroll teams to manage payroll issues
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
  • Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary education and accreditation with HR specialty
  • Completion of, or working towards, CPHR designation
  • 5 years of HR leadership experience
  • Professional services industry experience is considered an asset
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
