Position Summary:

The School Based Wellness Coach provides professional and compassionate coaching services to students and their families to support junior high students facing mental health, interpersonal and socio-economic difficulties, in order to achieve academic success.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

- developing relationships with students and their families
- providing support with mental health, interpersonal and socio-economic related issues
- providing support to students regarding decision making, boundaries, social skills and healthy relationships
- providing parenting support through community referrals
- working in collaboration with school administration

Education/Qualifications:

- a diploma in Counselling, Social Work or a related field
- three years related experience
- experience working as a coach to students
- experience working in community outreach
- experience with restorative justice practices

Rate of Pay:

$2, $2,954.70 bi-weekly

Access to a vehicle for travel is required.
This position is located at Riverbend School, Avenue NW.
