Temporary Full Time (12 month contract)


Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

Equitable Life is growing and we're seeking an organized and detail oriented individual to join our team In this role you'll offer first level support to the Investigative Claims Unit (ICU) team to aid in investigations.

What you will be doing:


  • Utilize internal systems to gather claim information and documents to consolidate into an evidence log and case management tool
  • Contact plan sponsors, plan members, and providers/practitioners to obtain missing information, as directed by investigators or manager
  • Document progress on files and assist with monthly reports
  • Work closely with our internal partners to effectively manage claim investigations
  • Maintain metric reports for the FIRM team including but not limited to, turnaround time, production reports and savings reports
  • Provide assistance for investigations as required
  • On occasion, involved in basic review and research to gather data for preliminary findings on large provider abuse
  • Triage case leads and assist in case prioritization
  • Create and assist with templated written communication to external stakeholders
  • Provide backup on some basic investigation duties when required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Superior organizational skills with an ability to manage a fluctuating workload
  • Detail oriented
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Power BI and MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Access
  • Knowledge of group benefits is an asset
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and discretion when interacting with stakeholders and while handling confidential and sensitive issues
  • Willingness to adapt current processes and take on additional tasks to improve efficiency and internal customer support
