Claims Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Inside Investigator


The Recovery team at Gore Mutual is expanding We are looking for exceptional talent in anti-fraud investigations for Gore Mutual.


Joining our team will provide you with a unique opportunity where you will be part of an impactful, high visibility team, contributing to a company that is going through an exciting transformation.


What will you do?

  • Review files referred, compose and update investigation strategy through life of file
  • Investigate or use vendors to determine if there is evidence of fraud by clients, third party claimants, suppliers, brokers or internal to Gore
  • Review submitted documents for inconsistencies/other signs of fraud
  • Perform investigations as required and recommend course of action to Claims department
  • Review and prioritize incoming referrals by amount incurred, complexity, visibility, potential risk to Gore, limitation date, other
  • Assist in the design and delivery of regular, customized fraud detection, investigation, and avoidance training for Gore staff
  • Ensure all investigations are carried out in a proactive, professional manner and that Customer/Broker enquiries are responded to in a timely way
  • Regularly attend Industry training, CASIU events, IBC/Equite committees/other to maintain proficiency and ensure Gore is aware of the latest trends in Insurance Fraud
  • Assist in maintaining Gore Mutual Intelligence database from opensource material and direct knowledge of industry events
  • Other duties as assigned

What will you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Insurance fraud Investigation
  • 1+ years of experience in Major Case / Fraud Ring Investigation (preferred but not required)
  • Work experience with Property and Casualty claims or Accident benefit claims
  • Has obtained a designation in OSINT investigation training from a recognized provider (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in successfully conducting OSINT investigations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with data analysis to assist with detecting fraud trends and/or organized fraud activity
  • Experience with antifraud technology
