About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement principles and proven best practices.

This work will occur with staff and management and would include workplace organization, material and information flow, value stream mapping, materials control, throughput leveling and improved customer service.

You will also facilitate, lead and present process improvement workshops and kaizen events; develop, present and actively promote continuous improvement activities; lead efforts to reduce cost, improve efficiency to meet planned objectives and provide scorecard reporting of continuous improvement activities and progress.

Key responsibilities include:

Cooperate in the designing of work systems with the aim of improving the productivity of process flows under ergonomic aspects.
Deliver practical hands on tools and methodologies for the elimination of waste.
Support assigned continuous improvement projects to achieve targeted savings and develop reporting and scorecard systems accordingly.
Guide the continuous improvement team in planning, analysis, improvement recommendations, payback analysis, approval, and the deployment processes.
Establish and nurture a continuous improvement culture and maintain the continuous improvement education program. Provide mentoring and training to staff and management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field is required.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing or related field.
Ten years within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment with at least 5 years of Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Engineering experience.
Proven experience implementing continuous improvement strategies on the shop floor, combined with the ability to explain it in layman's terms to front line staff.
Experience facilitating and implementing change management methodologies.
Experience with waste reduction, standardized work, onepiece flow, just in time production, 5s, trying to keep WIP to a minimum, inventory reduction, etc.
Advanced process analysis and design expertise.
Must be conscientious and maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
Must have strong Project Management skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
This job requires leading, directing and delegating to crossfunctional team members assigned to continuous improvement projects.
Expereince with adulting learning principles is an asset.
