Busy Oyster House is looking for a Head Host to oversee our door.

The Head Host functions like a Maitre d', and is a full-time position on the floor during service.


In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing the Host department and ensuring that communication between management and the Host team is effectively distributed.

The Head Host will be responsible for developing and/or updating ROH Host Training practices, and ensuring that training is consistent for each new employee.

They will be responsible for optimizing the use of the Tock (or other) reservation system, including overseeing daily and weekly reservation availability, as well as keeping the system configured to the demands of Management.


The Head Host will also be responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of our takeout apps - Tock, Doordash, Ubereats and Ritual.

This will include updating menu items and pricing, ensuring that items are available across platforms, and communicating with those platforms during service if there is a problem.


They will collect and communicate Host and Takeout department needs to management in a timely manner, and will generate required assets where required.

This may include needs for menu, candies, menu boards, takeout stickers, bags and instructions.

The Head Host is a set-schedule, full-time position, with 5 shifts per week. Days off will be determined based on the needs of the company and the employee.

The Head Host will typically start work in the afternoon - 3pm
- to allow time for the various administrative duties this position holds, including updating of apps, optimizing floorplan, communicating with management and other members of the Host team, etc. At 4pm pm the Host will move onto the floor for regular PM service and inclusion in the tip pool.


In addition and where necessary, the Head Host may communicate with management that they require additional administrative time to execute larger projects.

From $18.00 per hour
