**Material Handling Equipment Operator
- Shipping & Receiving*
- Wrap product securely and make sure the pallet tag is fixed and visible from 2 sides (where applicable);
- Take the wrapped product to the shipping/staging area;
- On instruction from the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, load a container making sure the correct product and quantity are loaded;
- Ensure all pallets are being scanned during every movement (this includes from the racking or stage locations to your truck, to the line, into the racking or stage areas);
- Ensure shipping/ receiving and racking lanes are cleaned at all times (sweep and empty garbage when directed to);
- Receive all packaging materials from inbound shipments and stage them in an accessible area for putaways;
- Verify item, lot, and date codes on items on inbound shipments;
- Preform receiving's in Mobile Nulogy;
- Verify BOL matches receiving, Sign off on BOL;
- Create shipments and load trailers as directed;
- Ensure shipments are correct, verify pallets and products;
- Ensure housekeeping tasks as assigned are completed;
- Ensure any issues with forklifts are documented and reported on a daily bases to your Supervisor;
- Ensure that forklifts are kept clean and tidy after use;
- Ensure iPads and scanners are properly signed out and charged accordingly at shift end;
- On instruction from the Line Lead
- Move packaging materials from the staging area to the line
- Move bulk from staging area to the mezzanine floor for the Line Supplier
- Move finished product away from the production line ONLY when advised by the Line Lead AND that the pallet has a completed pallet tag attached
- Any other duties as directed by the Distribution Supervisor or designate
Education/Work experience requirements:
- Counter balance certification required
- Experience in a fast pasted environment
- Food industry experience an asset
Key technical & behavioural competencies:
- Health and Safety oriented;
- Detail oriented;
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and multitask.
- Excellent reading and oral communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment
