Supply Technician
Location: Drummondville, QC
Type: Temp to Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Supply Technician
to support daily purchasing and procurement activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely acquisition of products, equipment, and components while maintaining cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support purchasing activities by planning and preparing purchase orders for components and sub-components
- Create, track, and follow up on R&D and operational purchase orders
- Maintain purchase orders in the system and communicate directly with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper KANBAN management
- Follow up with suppliers to prevent delivery delays and communicate issues internally
- Track goods receipts, resolve discrepancies, and manage supplier non-conformities and returns
- Identify and escalate potential cost increases or supply risks to management
- Manage third-party suppliers and oversee the complete purchase order lifecycle
- Support supplier shipping activities and coordination
- Create and update items and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Great Plains for Canadian and U.S. operations
- Perform inventory transfers, adjustments, and participate in cycle counts and annual inventory
- Prepare departmental credit card expense reports and reconciliations
- Develop, maintain, and review departmental procedures, work instructions, and quality records
- Propose and implement process improvements to increase departmental efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- DEC in Administration or equivalent
- Minimum
3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing - Bilingual in
French and English - Proficiency with
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Working knowledge of
Great Plains (Dynamics GP)
