The Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Medical Genetics of Island Health, is seeking a full-time hematopathologist with primary practice site in Victoria.

There is close practice integration with all hospitals across our Health Authority.

The successful physician will be team oriented and join seven other Hematopathologists in providing diagnostic laboratory oversight.

They will participate fully in the island-wide routine and special hematology services, transfusion medicine programs, teaching rounds, committee work, administrative tasks and consultation with clinicians in all areas relating to diagnosis, management and therapeutic choices.

Occasional travel between sites to provide facility and physician in-services and support is expected.
