WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Intern, Safe Sport**The intern of tennis development and partnership reports into the Manager of Safe Sport & Education. As a member of the Tennis Development and Partnerships team, your main responsibilities focus on projects within the Safe Sport Department and Community Department. The Safe Sport Department is committed to protecting the security, safety and health of all participants. The Safe Sport Department is committed to protecting the security, safety and health of all participants. The position will assist with core activities across the department.

  • Support the development, monitoring and execution of compliance for different stakeholders as it relates to Safe Sport
  • Support the implementation of the Respect in Sport modules across the tennis ecosystem
  • Support the development of Safe Sport training & education for all stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of the Safe Sport videos across the tennis ecosystem
  • Support the development of the new Safe Sport Tennis Canada website along with ensuring alignment across the Provincial and Territorial Tennis Association (PTTA)
  • Any other duties as outlined by the supervisor

WHO YOU ARE?:


  • Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited college/university program and complete this internship as a part of your school program
  • Possess strong administrative and organizational skills and an independent work ethic
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Energetic, selfmotivated and possessing a winning attitude while excelling in a professional, working environment
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a fast pace and fluid work environment
  • Knowledge of tennis and/or coaching an asset but not required
  • French speaking an asset but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Fixed term contract starting May 6th, 2024 to August 23rd, 202
  • Hybrid remote office schedule
  • Office hours are Monday to Friday 95pm
  • Some evening and weekend work will be required leading up to and during the National Bank Open presented by Rogers;
  • Some physical work (ex. packing and lifting boxes) may be required.
