Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).

PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

Responsibilities:


  • Market Analysis: Conduct indepth research and analysis of global crude oil markets, staying informed about market trends, geopolitical developments, and economic indicators.
  • Trading Strategies: Develop and implement effective trading strategies to maximize profitability while managing risk exposure.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and other market participants to enhance trading opportunities and negotiate favorable deals.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage trading positions, ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
  • Decision Making: Make informed and timely decisions based on market intelligence, economic factors, and risk assessments.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and execute crude oil purchase and sale contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to the company.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on trading activities, market trends, and performance metrics to management.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Economics or Management with 5+ years related industry experience;
  • Highly motivated with welldeveloped analytical, communication, and negotiation skills;
  • Goal oriented and able to contribute as a team player;
  • Strong business acumen with an interest in the Oil & Gas industry;
  • Previous experience in preparing and delivering trade ideas for internal stakeholders; and
  • Enjoys working with multiple priorities and tasks in a fast paced environment.
