This position reports to the General Manager and assists in the general and technical maintenance of the inside and outside of the building.

This includes executing minor repair work, maintaining equipment and installations, and performing preventive inspection of systems relating to the building.

Duties and Responsibilities, outlined, but not limited to.

• Provide courteous, professional, and technical service to all manner of property maintenance and equipment in accordance with D.P. Murphy standards and policies.
• Adjust and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Perform preventative maintenance, technical and nontechnical throughout the building, guest rooms/conference rooms, lobby, and common areas.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required
• Respond to requests from guests or Front Desk for minor repairs
• Perform daily inspections on the building systems including boiler readings
• Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment
• May move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
• Complete required documentation regarding Preventative Maintenance Program, and daily performance log sheet.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, in shop area, including safe operation of equipment with regular housekeeping of workstations.
• Participate in an oncall rotation.
• Promote local facilities, and other D.P. Murphy facilities, services, and special offers.
• Arrive promptly at the beginning of scheduled shift, shift beginning, and end times may vary with the demand of the day(s) and will include weekends.
• Participation of winter windshield snow/frost removal program.
• Work with a spirit of teamwork ensuring superior customer service
• Occasionally perform other duties as dictated by the needs of the business.
