JOB SUMMARY:


The
Revenue Operations Specialist - Canada will serve as the primary support person for all reimbursement related activities and as the point of communication for physicians and their treatment site support staff for patient onboarding.

The Revenue Operations Specialist will have a strong understanding of the patient forward mission and will need to be a collaborator with strong communication skills.


This is a full time position reporting to Senior Analyst, Global Revenue Operations, Reimbursement, based in Montreal, Canada (on-site).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Receipt and entry of new patient orders
  • Communication with treatment sites to ensure orders are complete
  • Management of patient and reimbursement documentation
  • Communications/coordination of all Revenue Operations related activities for group of treatment sites in a region
  • Act as the point of communication with treatment sites for onboarding related questions
  • Understand the processes of treatment sites and adapt internal processes to strengthen relationships with providers
  • Use of company specific CRM and ERP software platforms according to SOPs
  • Build the infrastructure for billing and invoicing with external customers.
  • Upload and monitor data accuracy on customer's electronic invoicing portals.
  • Support with submitting requests for reauthorizations of coverage to the payer for approval
  • Obtain and triage supporting documentation, and communicate cases to the appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate with external parties, where appropriate, to drive reimbursement decisions
  • Assist with resolving all incorrect payments and escalate any payment inconsistencies
  • Build and develop local revenue operations processes according to local market requirements and to companies' procedures
  • Support all internal and external audits as necessary
  • Function as a part of the global revenue operation by attempting to operate processes and procedures in alignment with global operations where possible
  • Perform all other duties or priorities assigned by management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications:


  • Associate degree, or equivalent level of relevant experience preferred
  • 25 years of experience in a medical device, DME company, or patient support environment

Knowledge:


  • Excellent French and English language capabilities
  • Experience coordinating with treatment sites
  • Experience with health care systems preferred
  • Experience in the payment or medical necessity departments of the French social insurance system preffered
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Familiarity with basic medical and insurance terminology preferred
  • Effectiveness in deescalating and resolving difficult situations
  • Ability to solve problems and set priorities
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and escalate difficult situations
  • Ability to collaborate with key internal and external teams
  • Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a fastpaced office setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Maintain integrity and tenacity while working accounts
