iKids Montessori Academy is looking for an Early Childhood Educational Assistant (ECA).


Early Childhood Assistants at iKids Montessori Academy play an important role in providing care for all children under the guidance of early childhood educators.

Working collaboratively with ECE's,
ECA's lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being.

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will perform some or all of the following duties during your employment with iKids Montessori Academy:


  • Supporting the ECE's and CASA educators in implementing programming that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development for children both inside and outside of the classroom,
  • Supporting and supervising the children through their daily routine (diapering, toileting, feeding and dressing),
  • Establishing collaborative relationships with families, children and staff through open communication and positive professional interactions,
  • Utilizing our reporting app HiMama to document all aspects of children's daily routines,
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures set out by the centre, Ministry of Education and Public Health are complied and documented where necessary,
  • Perform housekeeping duties (such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing toys and child washrooms,
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development days and/or workshops
  • Work as a team with educators, and families
