Youth Work Team Lead - Supervisor

Job Summary:
Spend each day leading and guiding our team of youth workers as they deliver our programs and services. Part of your week will be spent in your office scheduling, organizing, and planning programs.

The rest of your week will be supporting and training our youth workers through one to one's, small group and team meetings.

This job is the best of both worlds - you get to share the skills and youth work knowledge that you have developed, and you still get to connect with youth at our Youth Centres.

Who we are looking for:

- someone who has been engaged in front line / crisis-oriented youth work for several years
- someone who is looking to move forward in their career and is ready to share their knowledge with a team of new youth workers


What you will do each day:

• support, direct and mentor our team of youth workers and volunteers

- plan, develop, and ensure the success our programming as a part of our leadership team
- liaise with city staff, school personnel and community professionals
- spend part to your week completing 'office' work and also some time in the youth centres supporting the staff and building connection with youth (the best of both worlds)
- guide and lead our youth leadership programs


What we need from you:

- several years of experience working with youth is required
- experience in volunteer or staff supervision is an asset
- a degree in a related field is an asset
- a positive view of youth and an understanding of youth issues
- enthusiasm, patience, and a sense of humour

- shifts are during the day with occasional evening or weekend work for special events

$60,000 annually to start
