  • The successful candidate works as a Process Operator / Electrical Technician on a rotational basis. Work schedule will be a 24 hour shift schedule with in Operations role and a 8 hour per day, weekday schedule when in Electrical role.
  • The successful candidate adheres to the various facets within the Safety, Environmental, Occupational Health and Responsible Care.
  • The successful candidate interacts with colleagues in a way that reflects Evonik's values of respect and inclusivity.
  • The successful candidate is open to feedback and interacts positively with Mentors (Site Management, Sponsors, Senior Leaders).
  • The successful candidate takes responsibility for assigned transform (operating area), when in Operations role, and the entire facility as a whole.
  • The successful candidate analyzes process samples to maintain process setpoints.
  • The successful candidate contributes to the Non-conformance and Incident management reporting systems. Participates and contributes to any subsequent investigations.
  • The successful candidate builds and takes ownership of Lockouts within assigned operating area.
  • The successful candidate troubleshoots Electrical issues and takes corrective actions to rectify issues within the plants.
  • The successful candidate will complete work orders in the field and enter the required information into our electronic maintenance system. Help build and maintain associated records and reports.
  • The successful candidate will complete scheduled Electrical maintenance and equipment service planned maintenance.
  • The successful candidate will communicate with outside vendors and contractors to arrange knowledge and assistance to address maintenance issues on site.
  • Requirements

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician, must have Industrial plant maintenance / construction experience.
  • 4th Class Power Engineering certification is preferred but school assistance will be provided to attain for the right candidate.
  • Fluent English skills both orally and written
  • Interest in a long term career in the Industrial Production and Technology field.
  • Must be willing and comfortable, working in a 24 hour shift environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical heat trace and associated controllers
  • Knowledge / experience with Variable frequency drives
  • Experience troubleshooting control circuits and electrical faults
  • The ability to organize and manage vendors and contractors in project and shutdown situations
  • Medium voltage experience is preferred
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Products (excel/word)
  • Can Maintain a strong sense of responsibility / ownership for the Electrical role and the maintaining of the facility.
