Liberty Construction Group is seeking experienced Site Superintendents for work on Vancouver Island and in the Greater Vancouver region of BC.

Commercial, Institutional, Multi-Family Residential, Industrial.

Projects range up to $25M.

Minimum 5 years industry experience requested.

General duties including but not limited to:

  • Supervising all aspects of the project to ensure top efficiency of the workforce and quality of product
  • Ensuring the project is built according to approved plans, specifications, building and energy codes, bylaws, or other requirements
  • Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S)/ WCB standards are met at all times including documentation and reporting
  • Generating, securing, or otherwise confirming all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a continuing basis with the Project Manager (PM)
  • Maintain prepared construction schedules by organizing in advance subtrades and materials so that completion dates are achieved
  • Prepare and regularly update a 35 week lookahead micro schedule
  • Participating in scope reviews (prior to project startup) of the various bid packages to properly coordinate their respective work and ensure that nothing is either left our or purchased twice
  • Working with the PM to execute site start up procedures to ensure arrangements are made for site services, security, and other facilities necessary to service the construction effort
  • Identify and execute the proper work sequence of operations for all scopes of work
  • Monitor work performed by all parties
  • Determine whether subtrades are providing sufficient workforces and hours of work to achieve performance commitments.
  • Monitor, review, and signoff on own force or subtrade daily work or materials supplied
  • Direct any company field staff Assist the PM with review and approval of monthly project invoice review and billing
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with the requirements of the project contract and be able to identify changes, conflicts, etc. that are beyond the scope of responsibility
  • Assist the PM in preparation of field change orders as required for Owner approval before extra work is started
  • Preparing site superintendent daily reports, site safety documents, and all other regular and special documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs
  • Maintain a SAFE, clean, efficient, and economical project at all times.

From $95,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

- construction: 5 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
