    Responsibilities

    • Reporting to Regional Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for the following :
    • Assist the Project Manager and provide technical support and leadership to manage project engineering activities to meet project KPI's, safety, budgets, scope, schedule, and deliverables;
    • Manage and supervise the project engineering team and is accountable for the overall performance, moral, and culture of the Project Engineering & Design Team;
    • Be responsible to plan, organize, direct, schedule, assign, monitor and coordinate all engineering activities, work, resources and tools & equipment to meet project and business objectives consistently with the respective VTEK Engineering Discipline Managers;
    • Lead a Portfolio/Project multi-discipline engineering team with support from Discipline Managers;
    • Be responsible to meet all safety and quality requirements and objectives of the project;
    • Determine project engineering deliverables and work with the Discipline Engineering Managers to establish an execution plan and assign personnel;
    • Work with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to establish work sequence and deliverables for each Engineering Discipline at each project phase;
    • Ensure engineering supports all project and construction needs in an efficient and effective manner;
    • Along with the Discipline Engineers, review and approve project specific technical data from suppliers and contractors;
    • Provide assistance to develop, issue, assess, and manage quotes, bids, and contracts;
    • Be engaged with the client regarding all technical matters;
    • Ensure any engineering work packages issued, regardless of phase, are complete, integrated, thorough and complete to meet objectives and quality requirements;

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years' experience as a Process Engineer;
    • Min 5 years' experience in the oil & gas industry;
    • Canadian P. Eng. Title strongly preferred;
    • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
    • Good Customer relations.
    • Strong ability to influence people, building trust and credibility.
