Summary:

The Web Producer is responsible for coordinating and executing web updates, testing and production issue resolution for , self-serve and Member Benefits - including product launches, marketing campaigns, updating existing web content, keeping stakeholders informed and collaborating with various business units (IT, Marketing, Retail).

The Digital Team work environment appeals to self-directed, flexible team players who have great interpersonal skills, learn quickly, and embrace opportunities to improve processes and execute competitive strategies flawlessly and timely.

This highly collaborative position involves working closely with copywriters, designers, web developers, IT primes, as well as brand, social and sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Be front door to Digital Marketing requests and keep various business units updated on status of requests;
  • Coordinate and execute product launches and competitive responses online
  • Phones, Gift card offers, Rate Plans, Member Benefits, Media releases, etc using the appropriate Content Management System (CMS) and adhere to brand guidelines, customer experience guidelines, and business requirements;
  • Oversee and coordinate execution of web updates, production defects and turnkey digital campaigns from small typos to site redesigns you'll do a bit of it all;
  • Coordinate creative feedback and approvals from various stakeholders;
  • Delegate to and liaise with copywriter and designers on web content;
  • Effectively and clearly delegate work ondemand to frontend web developers and IT, overseeing progress and completion;
  • Being point of contact with IT teams, as needed, during web releases and provide them support for projects (input/feedback on CMS updates, configuring test data, testing new functionality);
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure all products and campaigns are tested in a conclusive manner and meet business requirements before moving to production;
  • Take ownership over the quality of the website content and overall experience finding opportunities to continually improve its content and experience (copy, design, functionality, etc);
  • Manage website inventory and perform routine maintenance audits of website content, images, active/inactive pages and more;
  • Manage and implement tracking codes across websites;
  • Ongoing documentation of processes.

Critical Qualifications:


  • 4+ years experience in a web producer role;
  • Degree in digital media, interactive design, front end development, or relevant field;
  • Experience producing content for responsive web and mobile apps;
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a must. jQuery are a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop for editing and optimizing images is an asset;
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel;
  • Strong knowledge of usability best practices, web standards, information architecture, search optimization and social media tools;
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities from beginning to end (i.e. scope, assets, resources, timelines, etc);
  • QA experience is a plus;
  • Possess good judgment, with ability to identify risks and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders based on business impact and priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Highly organized and able to develop and maintain streamlined processes;
  • Need to be flexible in highly fluid environment;
  • Demonstrates initiative;
  • Can work well independently and as part of a team;
  • Must be available to periodically work outside of typical office hours.
