You have:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (HR, Finance, Business Administration or similar field)
Completion of the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
Minimum 7 years of experience in progressively responsible roles in Human Resources, preferably in a unionized environment
Minimum 4 years of managing compensation & benefits programs is preferred
Strong project management and communication skills, coaching and people management skills
Strong knowledge of HAY Job Evaluation methodology
Ability to occasionally travel to Field Offices throughout Ontario when required

What you will do:

Manage the administration of compensation programs including annual compensation review, variable pay program, sales compensation plan, job evaluation and pay structure development
Manage benefits programs and conduct analysis and research in support of the annual renewal and contract negotiation process
Provide expert guidance to leaders, colleagues and employees on total rewards solutions and challenges.
Monitor and assess changes in pension, benefits, and compensation legislation and potential implications to employees, the organization and collective agreement; update internal processes and documents as applicable.
Ensure pay equity plans are established and maintained on a regular basis.
Deliver and improve employee programs including recognition and rewards and scholarship.
Manage direct reports, set/review performance goals and provide training/coaching as necessary
