    • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Conduct pre-shift/post-shift walk-around safety inspections
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meeting and complete daily FLRA card
  • Log and report any maintenance concerns with the equipment
  • Coordinate activities with other operators
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
    • Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience operating Excavators in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting
  • 3+ years of direct experience with an Excavator including but not limited to; grading, sloping, trenching, ditching etc.
  • Experience with using GPS in equipment is an asset
  • Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven
  • Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades)
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness
  • Experience with radio communications and protocols
