    Description

    The Assembly function in Ultra assembles and wires difficult and complex assemblies, using drawings, operation sets and engineering documents. The Test function will test, fault find and identify the repair to be undertaken on a range of products to meet our customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales. It ensure that the units under test have passed all the parameters as laid down in the Product Test Schedule before releasing.

    Operator roles in Ultra work under the guidance of a supervisor to perform operations duties safely and effectively and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.

    These roles perform a range of clearly defined procedures, and will typically be considered skilled through on-the-job experience. Resolves routine issues without supervisory approval. Has developed skills through formal training and/or work experience.

    Required Skills:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent experience and capability
    • The Candidate must be capable of acquiring a NATO security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment to the satisfaction of the company.

    Desired Skills:

    • Basic soldering skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Willing to meet the physical job demands
    • Willing to maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality standards
    • Attitude: has a positive can-do attitude in everyday work. Is able to deal with and support change.

    Electrical or Mechanical Diploma would be considered an asset, but not required.
