Our Saskatoon Service Center is seeking a Technical Planner / Estimator to work closely with our internal and external stakeholders to provide short-term project management and production planning support for the re-manufacturing of large industrial centrifuges, and other solid/liquid separation and rotational devices.

Responsibilities may include but are to limited to the following:

  • Preparation of quotations to the cost level;
  • Design of routings with the SAP system;
  • Preparation of shop instructions;
  • Communication with the end customer on sales engineering and process issues;
  • Champion quality and workmanship speed of delivery within our organization for products and processes;
  • Achievement of quotation turn times;
  • Adhere to local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding day to day conduct of business;
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, mechanical preferred OR an experienced tradesperson with offsetting work experience;
  • Knowledge and/or experience in high energy rotating components, centrifuges preferred but may be related to turbines, gears, turbine engines or similar;
  • Flexibility to work in a small entrepreneurial service center environment;
  • This position requires the ability to handle multi tasks with a short period of time;
  • An understanding of management practice in a strong engineering orientated OEM ISO 9000 organization;
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to read manufacturing and assembly drawings;
  • Promote and maintain Company goodwill in all areas this assumes trustworthiness, honesty, and dependability.
Other valued, but non-essential skills, abilities, and experience include:

  • Sales and marketing experience;
  • Working knowledge of general shop operations, including: final product test cell procedures, machining, welding, industrial mechanics, fabrication, purchasing, warehousing and internal leadtimes;
  • Working knowledge of ERP business systems and Microsoft Office products.
