- Direct and support manufacturing, assembly and shipping/receiving activities
- Engage production staff on a regular, daily basis to ensure objectives are met
- Plan manufacturing workload in order to maintain efficiency while being able to meet customer requirements
- Direct the facility's transportation staff and trucks to meet delivery and client-service needs
- Be responsible for general facility operations, equipment and service providers
- Communicate with the corporate office regarding activities and objectives
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience
- At least 6 (six) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity and a strong preference for at least 5 (five) years in packaging
- Understanding of basic inventory control as well as principles and practices surrounding inventory and warehouse management
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and a good working knowledge of Outlook, MSWord and MS Excel
- Ability to interpret drawings, work orders and routing instructions and promote improvements within those
- Knowledge of and ability to direct standard shipping and receiving procedures
- Knowledge of ISO and wood certification programs
