    The Market Analyst is responsible for managing the ongoing management of contract and pricing management requirements of the business unit.

    The incumbent works in a group environment and is flexible to workload requirements. The role ensures contract management and strategic marketing initiatives in both domestic and international Intermodal groups.
    Tariff and Contract Management

    • Establish market rates for rail movements following CN Pricing process and CN Playbook
    • Work with the Market Managers to ensure pricing data is processed on time to meet deadlines established for publications
    • Review and manage customer contracts, and agreements or renewals for the Sales department
    • Provide guidance to Account Managers and Accounting Representative on customer disputes
    • Assist in completing the Strategic Account Plan for National Customers and Market Strategy Plans for Market Managers.
    Research

    • Assist the Market Manager with the creation of Price Volume Mix Division (PVMD) for major contract renewals
    The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The incumbent must be is flexible to workload requirements. Marketing

    • Experience in using Tableau and other data analysis tools
    • Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset
    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
    Improves processes and enhances Environment, Social and Governance actions

    • Applies analytical thinking to make recommendations that pursue sustainable performance
    • Project management skills
    • Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French*)

    Technical Skills/Knowledge

    • Financial acumen and ability to forecast and conduct financial analysis

    Excel and PowerPoint
