    Description

    Education:

    • Other trades certificate or diploma

    Experience:

    • Between 2 to 3 years

    Tasks

    • Determine necessary materials for the job
    • Interpret engineering designs and instructions from others to plan out efficient methods
    • Establish reference points and patterns accurately
    • Organize the tasks sequence for the most efficient metal cutting process
    • Examine engineering blueprints to understand material requirements
    • Construct structures by assembling and fitting plates and sections
    • Join sections either by welding or bolting
    • Operate heavy-duty metal-working machinery
    • Create patterns and templates
    • Handle, lift, and relocate materials within the worksite

    Certificates, Licences, and Courses

    • Metal Fabricator Trade Certification
    • Forklift Operator Certification

    Welding Techniques

    • Specialization in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

    Equipment and Machinery Expertise

    • Experience with brakes and presses
    • Proficiency in operating drills, grinders, shears, and saws

    Security and Safety

    • Completion of a criminal record check

    Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

    • Physically demanding job role
    • Require strong attention to detail

    Own Tools/Equipment

    • Essential: Steel-toed safety boots and Welding helmet
