Manager, HR Strategy.

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Strategy, this position is responsible for developing and leading HR initiatives and programs that support our HR strategy and align with OPG's business objectives.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG's public outreach, engagement, and education efforts as part of the company's commitment to growing its social license.
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Support the development of OPG's multiyear Human Resources Strategy, as well as other strategies owned by the HR team.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the HR leadership team, HR peers and business leaders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead and support initiatives related to HR employee engagement, knowledge management and communications.
  • Own and use HR analytics and data to measure the effectiveness of HR strategies and initiatives; and to plan future programs to support overall decision making.
  • Lead and/or participate in committees and working teams that directly support HR's priorities.
  • Lead program reviews to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of programs; conduct environmental scans to continuously improve and ensure alignment to broader HR strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in HR strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining HR policies and procedures including providing coordination and support for implementation to stakeholders; conducting research and providing professional advice and recommendations on policy issues; and consolidating those policies and procedures which are sitespecific.
  • Prepare executive and board memos, presentations, and other highlevel submissions.
  • Support Partnership tripartite programs involving direct interaction with the Unions and OPG leadership, as well as local site management and union representatives.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:


  • Ability to work and collaborate in a hybrid office environment;
  • Minimum 57 years of progressive Human Resources management experience;
  • Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to employees at various levels;
  • Strong endtoend program and project management experience; ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and other project management tools;
  • Ability to connect HR strategies to the broader business objectives;
  • Ability to influence, effectively communicate ideas and develop strong partnerships across HR and business groups in all levels in the organizations; ability to understand and translate technical and strategic programs to a variety of audiences;
  • Comfortable and able to navigate and adapt through ambiguity, complexity and continuous change;
  • Previous experience and working knowledge with MS Office tools and HR systems are required.

Preferred:


  • Experience working with SAP / SuccessFactors, Service Now and Qualtrics;
  • Experience implementing and leading organizational culture programs and initiatives;
  • Experience working for an organization with a highly technical and/or multiunion workforce.
