- Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Coronary Care 1 certification an asset
- One year of applicable nursing experience preferred
- Excellent customer service demeanour

The Surgical RPN participates as a team member inthe promotion, assessment, provision and delivery of quality care throughsupportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means inorder to attain or maintain optimal function. Provides direct care forindividuals, groups of individuals including family members and significantothers whose outcomes of care are predictable. RPNs who provide aspects of care in situations in which the patient'scondition is complex and the outcomes of care are not predictable do so incollaboration with RNs and with other members of the health care team.
