This is a permanent FTE 1.0 position scheduled to starting July 1, 2023. This is a Monday to Friday daytime schedule.


THE POSITION

The role includes such tasks as:

  • Manage a Service Department to achieve efficiency by maximizing production, controlling costs and establishing solid employee relationships.
  • Coordinate and mange a fleet of over 59 ambulances and 10 crew trucks for proper inspection cycle, including the development of work orders
  • Ensure high quality service and repairs and preventative maintenance are provided in a timely manner.
  • Direct and schedule daily activities of all Fleet Staff including the Logistics Department which includes the effective and efficient delivery of timely medical and operations supplies
  • Establish processes & standards to ensure efficient operations of the mechanic bay.
  • Review completed jobs for quality control purposes.
  • Handle employee inquires and or concerns.
  • Guide and evaluate performance of service department staff.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department staff to review goals, suggestions and/or concerns.
  • Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures.
  • Ensure staff compliance with required health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain an effective inventory parts to support the timely maintenance and repare of ambulances and fleet vehicles
  • Shipping and Receiving of parts and supplies as per the needs and requirements of fleet and logistics
  • Perform additional duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in fleet or automotive repair (e.g. Technician, Shop Foreman or manager).
  • Strong decision making and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective administrative and management capabilities.
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
