Job summary
We have a 9 months term full-time opportunity for a Fire Inspector in the YVR Fire & Rescue Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections and enforcing fire codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Fire Prevention role (LAFC) in relation to interpretation of the BC Fire code, or at least 1 year experience in public education and firefighting
- Completion of NFPA 1001, NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector & Plans Examine, NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator, Fire Protection Technician Certificate (ASTTBC) or equivalent, BC Fire Code Certificate, BC Building Code course.
