Position:

1 Intermediate/Senior Teacher, HANDS The Family Help Network, 770 John Street, North Bay

Required Teaching Qualifications:

A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
Intermediate and Senior Qualifications
Special Education Specialist Qualification or Special Education Part 2 and evidence of working towards specialist

Position Criteria:

Ability to work with youth who have complex needs and require support with selfregulation, behavior management, and/or social learning and communication
Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a multifaceted team supporting students in their academic learning within a clinical/therapeutic setting
Ability to implement differentiated instruction to support a wide variety of student learning needs, including students who've experienced trauma
Effective communication and reporting skills
Experience working with Independent Learning courses and/or online learning content
Ability to write and implement Individual Plans of Care
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to more than one site, if necessary (mileage will be paid)
