We are looking for someone to join our electro-mechanical assembly team

Accelerated Systems Inc. (ASI) is a clean energy innovation company.

A global Designer and Manufacturer of fully integrated electric vehicle Drive Systems including electric motors, motor controllers, battery systems, and custom hardware.


We specialize in the electrification of equipment that is currently powered by internal combustion engines thereby providing the world with a greener, cleaner choice for their eBikes, eMotorcycles, eScooters, golf carts, outdoor power equipment, and electric utility vehicles.

Primary Duties:


  • Perform a wide variety of electromechanical assembly tasks in support of development of preproduction projects
  • Coordinate build schedules for prototype and small batch builds of mechanical assemblies
  • Work from rough engineering drawings to construct/fabricate assemblies, subassemblies, and components
  • Perform rework and quality testing
  • Assembly of mechanical components using general hand tools
  • Operation of custom equipment in relation to the assembly and building of electric motors (winding machine, balancing machine, solder pot, etc.)
  • Handwinding of prototype motors
  • Write work instructions while looking for areas of improvement to assembly methods
  • Work with Engineering department on prototype requests and data collection
  • Will be required to assist with assembly of electronics into mechanical assemblies
  • Provide direction and training for junior assemblers

Requirements:


  • Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings
  • Prior experience leading a small assembly team
  • Proficient with use of power tools and hand tools
  • Skilled in electrical (wire harness) materials, fabrication, and assembly methods
  • Able to follow build instructions and improve upon processes
  • Detailoriented with outlook for continuous improvement
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

Additional Skills:


  • Ability to design fixtures and modify engineering drawings under direction using tools such as Solidworks would be considered an asset
  • Ability to solder considered an asset
  • Previous experience welding considered an asset
  • Experience with Lathes, Mills, End-Mills or other machine shop equipment an asset
