Join Our Team as a Chef (Cook)
We are hiring for a Chef (Cook) for a casual position with potential for PT/FT hours in the new year plus call-ins for vacation coverage, sick calls, short-staff with availability for short notice calls like the next day or in a few hours if possible.
Requirements:
- Cook's papers or in process of completing within 3 years of start date
- Minimum Requirements: Food Service Worker Certificate or in process of completing within 3 years of start date
- TB skin test & Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check
- Covid 19 Vaccination 1st dose required with 2nd dose scheduled
- Safe Food Handling Certificate required
- Previous experience in cooking in a LTC facility is an asset
- Understanding of HACCP
- Empathy for seniors
- Ability to work independently or as a team
