    Customer Engineer – Collibra


    Collibra's Customer Engineering team shapes the way some of the largest organizations in the world manage data by helping customers connect the right data and insights for all Data Citizens. As a Customer Engineer, you are the guiding force behind bringing Collibra's product and vision to customers and prospects, establishing knowledgeable and trusted relationships from day one and serving as a thoughtful technical advisor. You will be responsible for the technical relationship with the customer throughout the entire customer journey, both pre‑and post‑sale, filling an essential and highly respected role in the sales organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Map solutions to value across large and dynamic organizations, bridging both business and technical requirements.
    • Participate in discovery and drive qualification of new opportunities.
    • Prepare and conduct product demonstrations, highlighting how Collibra's Platform can support our Enterprise customers' needs.
    • Advise and support customers' technical stakeholders to accelerate Collibra adoption and value realization, serving as the primary point of contact for technical and product‑related queries.
    • Identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute value‑based workshops and proof‑of‑concepts/values.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships by acting as a reliable technical subject‑matter expert for existing customers to ensure product adoption, increase customer satisfaction, and drive renewals.

    Requirements

    • 2–3 years in a Sales, Customer Engineering, or Sales Consulting role.
    • Good understanding and interest in various data management areas such as cataloging, governance, integration, data quality, and data/enterprise architecture.
    • Experience in the data space is required.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
    • Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    • Willing to travel up to 30% within the region.
    • Fluent in both French and English is strongly preferred.

    Measures of Success

    • Within the first month, become familiar with Collibra and the institutional knowledge of process.
    • Within the third month, be able to host discovery calls, conduct basic demonstrations, and present the solution and its value.
    • Within the fifth month, become a voice for Collibra by demonstrating proficiency in the software to educate customers on features, roadmap, and the customer‑cycle process.

    Compensation


    The standard base salary range for this position is $104,000 – $130,000 per year. This position is eligible for additional commission‑based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including experience, skills, and location.

    In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401(k) plans, and more.
